# Learn in Memory with Shafeh

A memorial divides the whole Shishah Sidrei Mishnah, perek by perek, among many learners, l'ilui nishmas the niftar.

- **Find the memorial.** Call `memorials` with "memorials for Cohen", or go by the share code from its link.
  - Viewing, progress ("progress of …") and open perakim ("what's left in …") need no account.
- **Claim a perek.** Claiming needs sign-in, so the claim lands in the user's account under their name.
  - One specific perek, e.g. "claim Berachos 3 for <code>", happens right away.
  - Several at once, e.g. "claim 3 perakim for the Cohen memorial", comes back as a preview listing the perakim. Show it, and approve by `review_id` only once the user agrees.
  - A perek someone else has taken comes back as a question; suggest open ones.
- **Learn it.** `memorials` with "my perakim" gives each claim's `text_ref` and the next mishnah. Open it with `texts`, e.g. "Mishnah Berachos 3", and quote the Hebrew verbatim.
- **Check off.** "I finished mishnah 2 of Berachos 3 in <code>". Without a mishnah number, the whole perek is marked.
- **Give a perek back.** Use "give back Berachos 3 in <code>". It returns a preview to confirm.
- **Start a memorial.** "start a memorial for Reb Yaakov ben Avraham" returns a preview.
  - Ask for the Hebrew name, the date of passing and a deadline (shloshim or yahrzeit) first.
  - The memorial is public: anyone with the link sees the name.
  - After approval, give the user the share link.

Be gentle: these are often made for a recent loss.
